Steel is a fairly rare, valuable resource. To craft it, you need 4 iron and 4 coal, which makes a steel alloy. The steel alloy can then be smelted into steel, though its recommended to use a furnace to cut the time. A steel alloy can be crafted in an Advanced Workbench.

Players can make many items with steel, such as a Steel Sword and a Steel Battleaxe. In a future update, it's likely that steel armour and tools will also be released, an upgrade to the current gold tools.
